Great Moor Theatre Company is a collaboration of playwrights and contributors organised to produce relevant theatre that bites.Our aim is to explore power, identity and contemporary social issues. The plays have been developed through readings, workshops and festivals across the UK. As a Company, we are committed to creating bold new writing that challenges, entertains and sparks conversation.Artists from the North West, South West and London come together in spaces to create theatre. Plays that challenge our expectations, plays unapologetically theatrical.Great Moor Theatre has a focus on supporting playwrights who challenge the audience with ideas.

Can Gret be prevented from doing something stupid?‘Durex Machine’ explores the relationship of three members of the police struggling with fear, communication and stupidity.

Dermot Daly is a director, dramaturg and lecturer with extensive experience of developing new writing. Dermot has worked with Great Moor Theatre Company on script development, helping to refine new work from page to performance.
Katharine Jee
Actor / Writer
Katharine is an actor and playwright. Her plays reflect her interest in character-driven storytelling. Currently performing in her written and directed play, Mrs Warren’s Cremation, Dorchester Arts, October.
Nabhan Uddin
Actor
Nabdan, trained at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London and the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles. From Shakespeare to new writing, Nabhan brings presence and skillset across drama, tragedy and comedy on screen and stage.
Dan Lovatt
Dramaturg / Director
Dan Lovatt is a theatre director with a strong commitment to developing new writing. Dan has collaborated with Great Moor Theatre Company to support script development whilst bringing new work closer to production.
Deen Reinard
Playwright
His plays have been featured at writing festivals and performance venues across the UK. Great Moor Theatre Company is delighted to include his work as part of its programme celebrating avant-garde theatre.
Paul Kerensa Young
Dramaturg
Paul Young is a dramaturg with many years experience supporting playwrights and developing new plays. Paul's work with Great Moor Theatre Company has focused on adding a comedy element to scripts and helping shape new writing for the stage.
Julie Wood
Actor / Writer
Julie Wood is an actor and playwright whose work explores the complexities of everyday relationships. Her play, Pillow Talk, combines warmth and humour into a real life experience. Currently, she can be see in the play, Him, Union Theatre, London, November 2026.
